We began working on the Abstract Observation Tower with two irregular cube which had numerous shapes taken out of them. These cubes were then stacked on top of each other to create a unique form.
This form was further modified with the addition of a staircase that would lead up to a large observation platform. This platform however, would need shade. Thus the final addition to the tower was an abstract screening system created in the same way as the cubes. This screen would provide openings and aperatures for people to move and look through.
These plans sections and elevations were my first introduction into the world of architecture and set the groundwork for my future projects.
These renders were my first attempts at understanding how shadows and light would behave within a space.
